Who We Are
The Gecko Gallery NYC is the largest public display of reptiles in the north east. The Gecko Gallery in Bushwick Brooklyn, NY, has one major goal, the conservation of dozens of endangered reptile species. But what is a conservative effort without education and the spread of awareness?
The Gecko Gallery NYC is owned by Richie Laleh, owner of The Gecko King Inc., and Joseph Migirov, owner of The Gecko Gambit. Their shared vision and commitment to preserving reptile diversity led to a powerful partnership rooted in science, sustainability, and education.
Richie holds a biology degree and has always been fascinated by the incredible diversity within the reptile world. Over the years, he has worked with more than 100 species of geckos, and other reptiles, focusing on rare and underrepresented species. His dedication to long standing goal to maintain diversity is a driving force behind many of the conservation initiatives at The Gecko Gallery.
Joseph, who also pursued biology academically, has a deep-rooted passion for sustainability and specializes in the long-term management of some of the world’s most elusive and fragile reptiles, and is committed to keeping stable, genetically diverse captive populations of these cryptic and critically important species.
Together, Richie and Joseph combined their expertise to establish The Gecko Gallery. Not only as a showcase for rare and fascinating reptiles, but as a working conservation efforts.
